Hello Kitty Shopper Calls
I'm so done with these shoppers calling if we have specific things in stock.
We have this one girl who always calls multiple times a day asking if we have Hello Kitty Halloween blankets. My managers told us that we aren't supposed to reveal our stock for special quality items like that. Period.
I relayed this info and she was confused because a coworker earlier told her to call back later. I straight up mentioned that we are enforcing the rule because these items are first come first serve and it's not fair for us to reveal our stock (just some bs excuse we use). I was almost done with my shift and exhausted so I added that customers have been harassing our employees over the phone for these blankets, which is why we are also no longer giving out information regarding them. She asked for a manager after that lol
Luckily one of the chill CECs was the MOD during this time and they didn't give me a hard time. I did feel bad because they were on the phone for a good 20 minutes or so.
Anyway, I'm not one for rules but this one is a rule I'm trying to enforce. These people waste so much of our time and energy up at the registers by asking repeatedly for these stupid blankets! I'm tired of grown ass adults wanting to buy out these hello kitty things (and probably resell them) when there are children that actually want them! At this point, I'm telling people to just go to 5Below since they literally have hello kitty blankets for $5
