Live stream setup question
My buddy and I are working on some music to stream (or maybe just post on social media). I play guitar, he plays piano and we both sing.
I’m wanting to set up a little “streaming stage” in my studio, but my experience with recording is centered around using a DAW and post-mixing. I’ve seen all sorts of gizmos advertised for this sort of thing, and I’m not opposed to buying some gear if needed.
Gear I already have: Piano (electric) Guitar (with pickup) iRig Stream Mixer (peavey) Two condenser mics Some cheap dynamic mics Kontakt interface MacBook Pro iPhone
We tried using the iRig with my condensers and mixer, but it just sounded… bad. I think we’re lacking live FX. I can usually get a decent sound when it’s just me, but adding a second person is making it difficult. I’d like to just hit record, play and post. Just wondering if anyone else has suggestions on gear or setup tips. Not going for million dollar quality, just something good enough to share.
